If you need help with your application, email our Human Resources team and we’ll get back to you within 48 business hours.
How can I check the status of my application?
We contact applicants only if they’re selected for pre-screening or an interview. Since we hire for many roles, we can’t provide individual updates. In some cases, the process can take a few months—thank you for your patience!
If you’re selected, we’ll contact you for an interview. All offers of employment depend on a clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
Interviews
What should I know about the interview process?
Here’s what to expect:

Screening: HR reviews your application, including your resume and answers to screening questions.

Phone call (if needed): HR may contact you to confirm qualifications, discuss salary, and check your availability for an interview.

Interview invitation: If selected, we’ll contact you by email to arrange a date and time.

Format: Interviews may be virtual (on Microsoft Teams) or in-person. For some roles, a skills test (e.g., presentation or written task) may be required.

Final decision: After interviews, panel members independently score candidates to choose the best fit.
Do I need to prepare anything for a remote interview?
Yes, here’s how to prepare:

Criminal Records Checks
Do I need a Criminal Records Check to work at SWPH?
Yes, all staff must complete either a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) or a Criminal Records and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC), depending on the role.
Should I apply for a Criminal Records Check before applying?
No, you don’t need to apply beforehand. We’ll ask for the check after you receive a conditional offer of employment. We’ll guide you on which type of check is needed and how to complete it.
