Taking care of your teeth is an important part of staying healthy, but it’s not always easy to access care. At Southwestern Public Health (SWPH) we offer free dental clinics for kids, teens, and seniors to help keep your smile healthy. Let’s walk through who qualifies, what happens during a visit, and how to book an appointment.

Who qualifies for free dental care?

You may be eligible for free dental care if:

• You’re under 18 and registered with the Healthy Smiles Ontario Program

• You’re 65 or older and have a dental card through the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program

How do you book your appointment?

Booking your free dental visit is easy:

1. Choose the clinic closest to you

2. Call to schedule your appointment:

• St. Thomas site: 519-631-9900, ext. 1337

• Woodstock site: 519-421-9901, ext. 3510

3. Mark your calendar and arrive on time

Please remember that all clinics require an appointment.

What happens at the clinic?

At your visit, you’ll meet one of our friendly dental professionals. Here’s what they’ll do:

• Check your teeth and gums for any problems

• Clean your teeth to help prevent cavities and gum disease

• Share simple tips to keep your mouth healthy at home

• Refer you to other dental services if you need extra care
