Pregnancy and becoming a new parent can bring lots of emotions. You might feel excited, anxious, or even overwhelmed. If you’re struggling with feelings like sadness or worry, you’re not alone. The Balanced Beginning program is here to support you with professional help in a caring, safe space.
What is the Balanced Beginning program?
Balanced Beginning is a free, 9-week mental health program. It uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a way of understanding and improving how you think and feel. Public health nurses lead the sessions and help support pregnant people and new parents with babies up to 18 months old.
The program can help if you are feeling:
