Healthy Babies Healthy Children
The Healthy Babies Healthy Children program is a free service for families who are pregnant or have young children up to school age. This Ontario-wide program supports your family’s health, and you don’t need your health card to use it.
How can the Healthy Babies Healthy Children program help me?
This program connects you with a public health nurse or a parent resource worker who provides helpful information, resources, and referrals to support your family. Some of the ways they can help include a follow-up phone call after your baby is born and home visits for extra support and guidance.
This free program can help you:
-
Have a healthy pregnancy
-
Build a positive bond with your child
-
Support your child’s growth and development
-
Find helpful resources and programs in your community
-
Get your child off to a good start in life
For more information on the program, view the Healthy Babies Healthy Children fact sheet or check out the Healthy Babies Healthy Children program by the Ministry of Ontario.
How do I qualify for the program?
You may qualify for the program if:
-
You are pregnant
-
You’ve recently given birth
-
You have a child under school age
How do I join the program?
To join the Healthy Babies Healthy Children program, you can complete an online self-referral form or ask your healthcare provider (like a family doctor, midwife, or OB-GYN) to refer you to the program.
