Our clinics are welcoming, confidential and open to residents of the Southwestern Public Health region (Elgin and Oxford County). Whether you need birth control, STI testing or just have questions, we are here to support you.

Here’s what we offer at our sexual health clinics:

Health cards are not required for most services. Our clinics are private and confidential. We only share information with your consent.

How to book an appointment

Physician-led clinics (By appointment only)

Appointments are required for:

  • Pap tests for cervical cancer screening
  • Switching or renewing your current form of birth control
  • Insertion or removal of an intrauterine device (IUD)

Wednesdays: By appointment only

Evening hours: First Wednesday of each month, 4–6:30 p.m. (by appointment only)

Mpox Vaccine Information

Southwestern Public Health has a limited number of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) vaccines to individuals at the highest risk of Mpox exposure.

Vaccine Eligibility Criteria

Note: Travel is not part of the eligibility criteria at this time.

You may be eligible for the Mpox PrEP vaccine if you meet one of the following criteria:

You are two-spirited, non-binary, transgender, cisgender, intersex, or gender-queer, and self-identify (or have sexual partners who self-identify) as part of the gay, bisexual, pansexual, and other men who have sex with men (gbMSM) community and meet at least one of the following:

  • Had a confirmed sexually transmitted infection (STI) within the last year
  • Have, or are planning to have, two or more sexual partners, or are in a relationship where at least one partner may have other sexual partners
  • Have attended venues for sexual contact (e.g., bathhouses, sex clubs) recently or are planning to, or work/volunteer in these settings
  • Have had anonymous sex (e.g., using hookup apps) recently or are planning to
  • Are a sexual contact of someone who engages in sex work

You self-identify as engaging in sex work or are planning to, regardless of your self-identified sex or gender.

  • Immunosuppressed household or sexual contacts of eligible individuals
  • Pregnant household or sexual contacts of eligible individuals

If you have been recently exposed to a confirmed or probable case and are considered a high-risk contact, please call us at 1-800-922-0096 to discuss eligibility.

Vaccine Dosage

  • Primary Series: Eligible individuals should receive two doses of the Imvamune vaccine, with at least 28 days between doses.
  • Post-exposure Vaccination: Also available for high-risk contacts.
