Prevent mosquito bites with these simple steps:

When outdoors:

Around your home:

  • Get rid of standing water in birdbaths, plant pots, and barrels

  • Clean gutters and drains regularly

  • Trim shrubs and bushes to prevent mosquitoes from hiding

If you find a dead bird, you can help track West Nile virus:

Note: We do not collect dead birds at the health unit, but reporting them helps track diseases.
