Boil Water Advisory for Southwold Water Supply
Southwestern Public Health has issued a boil water advisory to all users of Southwold Water Supply as a precaution due to a watermain break, which may lead to back siphonage and the potential presence of bacteria in the water.
Clarification has been provided regarding the affected areas. Shedden, Talbotville, and Fingal are impacted.
However, Ferndale and residents of Lynhurst, including those on Lynhurst Park Drive and Lyn Court, are not affected. These communities receive their water supply from St. Thomas watermains.
Dr. Ninh Tran, the Medical Officer of Health, advises all users of Southwold Water Supply to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, preparing infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods, or making ice.
