Dog Bite incident in Cowan Fields Park, Woodstock

Southwestern Public Health has been notified of a dog biting incident.

The incident happened on November 29th between 5:00PM-5:30PM at the Cowan Fields Park in Woodstock.

The dog is described as brown and white in colour, believed to be an Australian Shepherd.
The dog owner is described as a man with grey hair, believed to be in his 60s - 70s, driving a newer white pickup truck. The dog owner was playing fetch with his dog in the park with a yellow-orange ball, similar in size to a tennis ball. The dog approached a woman with the ball in its mouth and when the woman turned around, the dog nipped her.

Public health seeks information about this dog to prevent any further rabies treatment for the individual who got bit.
