COVID-19 Resources for Health Care Providers
The Ministry of Health no longer distributes Rapid Antigen Tests through public health units. If an individual is eligible for COVID-19 antiviral treatment, they should seek an assessment through their primary care provider or a pharmacist to determine if testing is required.
COVID-19 testing and eligibility
COVID-19 testing now aligns with COVID-19 treatment eligibility. Health care providers can:
-
Review eligibility criteria to ensure appropriate use, then;
Testing for long-term care and congregate settings
-
COVID-19 testing is available for residents in:
-
Long-Term Care Homes
-
Congregate Living Settings
These settings can order Rapid Antigen Tests for outbreak prevention and management through the PPE Supply Portal. Be sure to review the eligibility criteria for ordering details.
