Infection prevention and control (IPAC) helps keep you, your co-workers, and the people you care for safe. If you work in places like shelters, group homes, or health care settings, these free online courses will teach you how to stop the spread of infections.

What training is available for non-clinical staff?

This online course is for individuals without formal health care training who work in group homes, shelters, or similar settings. You'll learn how to:

  • Assess risks and apply infection prevention strategies

  • Perform hand hygiene correctly

  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) safely

  • Understand environmental and administrative infection controls

  • Respond effectively to outbreaks
