Youth Tobacco and Vaping Intervention Program
Welcome to the Youth Tobacco and Vaping Intervention Program
This course consists of 5 sections and a quiz. You must complete all sections.
You were granted access to this course because you have committed at least one offence under the Smoke Free Ontario Act 2017 (SFOA). This course is being used as a part of the progressive enforcement approach. Please watch through and read all the contents below. There will be a quiz at the end that will be sent to the officer monitoring your offence. The officer will follow-up with you if they determine the results of your quiz are unsatisfactory to meet their requirements of progressive enforcement under the SFOA.
Section 1: Introduction [00:48]
In this section, the course and expectations will be laid out for you.
Section 2: The Law [3:51]
Learn about the Smoke Free Ontario Act and the laws surrounding smoking and vaping on or around school property.
Section 3: Tobacco [14:40]
Learn about tobacco products and the industry. This section has three parts. You must watch all three before proceeding to Section 4: Vaping.

Section 4: Vaping [46:00]
Learn about the vaping industry and the harms of vaping from Southwestern Public Health and Health Canada.
Once you have completed the above video go to the links below and complete all 3 sections and their quizzes. Content from the pages below will appear on the final quiz.
Section 5: Quitting [2:06]
In this section you will learn about some resources to help you quit vaping or smoking.

Do not attempt this quiz until you have completed each section of the training above.
Once you complete the final quiz the tobacco enforcement officer associated with your offence will receive proof of your completion of the course. If they have any questions about your completion of the course they will contact you directly. At the end of the quiz, you will be able to save proof of completion for your records.
