Boil Water Advisory for Areas of Rodney
Update: On July 26, 2024, this boil water advisory was rescinded after recent samples were taken with satisfactory results.Southwestern Public Health has issued a boil water advisory to the Town of Rodney in West Elgin, including Pioneer Line from Wellington Street in West Lorne to Furnival Road in Rodney, Catherine Road, and the Town of Rodney. The advisory was issued as a result of water sample results that indicated the presence of bacteria. While resampling is scheduled, the advisory is issued as a precaution.
The Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ninh Tran, has advised users of the West Elgin Distribution System, in the locations listed above, to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for domestic purposes, such as drinking, making infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods, and making ice.

Water samples are collected in geographic boundaries. This advisory is specific to users within the identified area. Residents that are affected will receive a notification directly, and a follow up notification when the advisory ends.
