SWPH Contest Rules and Regulations
Help us support breastfeeding in our communities for a chance to win!
October 2024
For generations, mothers have shared their knowledge, experience, and care to support one another on their breastfeeding journey. We have a rich history of helping each other succeed in breastfeeding.
Share your photos and stories of how you've received support in your breastfeeding journey to inspire others and for a chance to win a $250 self-care package!
Here is how to enter:
- Submit a story or photo about your breastfeeding journey via webform
- Enter between October 1 and 7 2024
- One winner will be selected from each county (Elgin-St. Thomas, and Oxford County) to win a $250 self-care prize that includes a $150 spa gift card, and a $100 grocery gift card
Eligibility: Open to adults aged 18+ in Oxford County, Elgin County or the City of St. Thomas via contest form submission only. No purchase necessary. Winners will be selected by random draw. One prize will be awarded per county (Elgin-St. Thomas, and Oxford County) for a total of two prizes.
Contest rules and regulations
Content
We reserve the right to exclude entries that do not follow Southwestern Public Health policies. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Messages that contain personal, confidential or protected information (as referenced by the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Personal Health Information Protection Act).
- Inappropriate or offensive material. This includes pornographic or profane material; material that promotes hateful or illegal activity; or content that is not consistent with the principles of the Ontario Human Rights Code.
- Posts that use inflammatory, deceptive or off-topic messages that incite argument.
- "Spam," or unsolicited bulk messages.
- Unauthorized sales solicitations for commercial products, services, or personal or home-based businesses.
All content and information collected is for the sole purpose of the contest and will be destroyed the day after, or before, the contest entry deadline (i.e., October 8, 2024)
Prizing
- Each prize contains one (1) $150 spa gift card, and one (1) $100 grocery gift card, as selected by Southwestern Public Health with sole discretion. No substitutions or cash value will be awarded in place.
- A total of two (2) prizes will be awarded; one (1) per county (Elgin-St. Thomas, and Oxford County).
- No purchase necessary.
- Prizes are not endorsed by a third party, including the organizations listed on the gift cards.
Entry rules
Adults aged 18 and older may submit a photo and/or a story via webform related to how they are enabling breastfeeding for one (1) entry into the prize draw. Southwestern Public Health reserves the right to remove entries that are duplicated or "spam"/bulk entries, at its own discretion. Review contest rules for full details.
Contest rules
Contest is open from 12:00AM October 1, 2024 until 11:59PM October 7, 2024. Submissions must be submitted via webform, as indicated in the contest communications shared publicly. Winners will be selected via random draw on or around October 8, 2024. Winners will be contacted via the contact method they indicated on the webform used for entry. There will be two (2) winners of the contest; one (1) per county (Elgin-St. Thomas, and Oxford County) as determined by the address provided on the webform used for entry.
Prizing will be available for pickup by the identified winner at either Southwestern Public Health’s St. Thomas (1230 Talbot Street, St. Thomas, Ontario) or Woodstock (410 Buller Street, Woodstock, Ontario) location as preferred by the winner, after October 8, 2024. Failure to present to either location to secure the prizing within seven (7) days may result in forfeiture of the prize.
Employees of Southwestern Public Health and those under the 18+ age range are not eligible to win, but may choose to participate.
Photo ownership & photos of minors: The entrant that submits a photo acknowledges that they are the exclusive owner of the photo and story, and that they are sharing the photo to enter the contest. The user also acknowledges that they assume responsibility for obtaining appropriate rights to the photo and story.
Winners of the contest will indicate whether they provide consent to their names and a photo being shared by Southwestern Public Health and its accompanying social media accounts including Facebook and Instagram, as well as its website www.swpublichealth.ca. Before we publish your photo or story, you'll need to fill out a permission form to be sent following the selection of the winners. Winners will have 48 hours to respond to contact from Southwestern Public Health acknowledging them as a winner before a new winner is selected and contacted.
By submitting your webform entry into the contest, you agree to the above contest rules and regulations. While every measure will be taken to ensure contest rules are followed, contest applicants agree that Southwestern Public Health assumes no risk or responsibility for failure to comply to contest rules and regulations.
