Naloxone
The Naloxone Distribution Program is for people who are at risk of witnessing an opioid overdose. This might be someone who uses drugs or family and friends of a person who uses drugs. You will receive free training and a naloxone nasal spray kit. You do not need a health card to receive naloxone nasal spray at Southwestern Public Health.

What is Naloxone?
Naloxone is a lifesaving drug that temporarily reverses an opioid overdose. It is fast acting and can be given as a nasal spray or an injection. Used properly, it can help a person who has overdosed to start breathing normally and regain consciousness.
